Software Center Skåne Day in November

News: Dec 08, 2014

The research within Software Center is driven by the needs from the industry and is largely funded by the participating companies. The event Software Center Skåne Day, that was held in Malmö December 4:th, offered the participants a balanced mix where researchers presented their work and companies described how Software Center has an impact on their business.

The academic excellence and the transparency in the companies, who let the researchers in to their core business to make a change seems to be one of Software Center’s success factors.

Finding new ways to collaborate was also one of the things Software Centers director, Jan Bosch, pointed out during his opening presentation. The strategic partnerships within Software Center helps companies to cope with the new market situation, where an acceleration of the adoption of novel approaches to software engineering is needed.

It is not an accident that it was a fit. Other companies had the same problem, said one of the presenting companies about their cooperation with Software Center.
