SUMMARY:Reporting workshop in Linköping: Quality assurance of AI and AI generated software
DESCRIPTION:Warmly welcome to the Software Center Reporting Workshop hosted at Ericsson in Linköping on June 10th\, 2025. Software Center (www.software-center.se)\, is a collaboration between 15 global companies and five Swedish universities focused on accelerating the digital transformation of the European software intensive industry. Software center is responsible for the Vinnova competence center Continuous Digitalization (CoDig). During this event\, we invite companies and researchers to exchange knowledge and to together explore the impact of future technologies. \nThe major theme for the workshop is Quality assurance of AI and AI generated software as this is the focus of the Software Center research team at Linköping university in collaboration with the Wallenberg AI\, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP). Our guests will also give the participants a broad view of what is going on in Software Center. \nThis is a public event\, and all information shared will be considered open. Sessions will be recorded with the consent of the presenter. \nRegistration:\nRegistration is closed. \nAgenda:\n9:30-10:00 Registration with fruit and coffee \n10:00-10:05 Former Steering committe chair Anders Caspár in memoriam (Jan Bosch) \n10:05-10:15 Opening by the Ericsson site. \n10:15-10:55: Towards AI-driven companies\, R&D and products:\nKeynote address by Professor Jan Bosch\, Chalmers\, director and founder of Software Center\nArtificial intelligence and specifically agentic AI are fundamentally changing the way companies\, R&D processes and products operate. In this keynote\, I present the results of an ongoing interview study with a variety of companies inside and outside of Software Center on their adoption of AI. The talk presents a vision of desired state and maturity models for how companies evolve from current state to the desired state. \n10:55-11:25 Community and theme updates and introduction to poster session: \n\nTheme 1: Kristian Sandahl & Daniel Várró\, Linköping university\nTheme 2: Jan Carlson\, Mälardalen university\nTheme 3: Miroslaw Staron\, University of Gothenburg and Chalmers\nTheme 4: Helena H Olsson\, Malmö university\n\n11.25-11.35: Software Center 2.0 – expanding the scope: Jan Bosch \n11:35-12:00 Poster & mingle section \n12:00-12:45 Lunch break by the courtesy of Ericsson \n12:45-13:30: Beyond the Hype – Practical Lessons from Industrial AI Implementations\nIndustry keynote by dr. Azeem Ahmad\, AI technology leader\, Ericsson AB\, Sweden\nArtificial Intelligence promises transformative potential across industries\, but deploying robust and effective AI solutions involves far more than adopting the latest technologies. In this talk\, I will share practical insights from multiple AI implementations\, including applications such as test case selection and generation. I will discuss common yet hidden challenges\, critical prerequisites for success\, and nuanced engineering decisions that significantly affect real-world outcomes \n13:30-15:30 Research presentation\, probably in parallel tracks\, including coffee break \n\nBarbara Gallina\, Mälardalen university: Sustainability and wellbeing at work: a focus-group based research (30 minutes)\nEduard Enoiu\, Mälardalen university: What We Measure\, Why It Matters\, and What We Assume: The Role of Folklore in Test Automation and Software Engineering (25 minutes)\nXin Sun\, Linköping university: The trade-offs between non-functional requirements in generated code.
