SUMMARY:Summer School on Digital Product Management
DESCRIPTION:The summer school on Digital Product Management provides an excellent opportunity for doctoral students and other participants to explore the fundamentals of digital product management and apply product management techniques to a product idea. \nThe central concept that the school is focusing on is how to create a product out of the research results. This involves creating a business model for your idea\, understanding its impact on the intangible economy and its distruptive power. Next\, we focus on identifying the core of the value proposition\, the main requirements and features for your product and how to deliver these features to the potential customers. We put special attention on the customer journey and retention and building sustainable customer relationships. Finally\, we explore the strategies for joining or creating a software ecosystem around your product idea and unlocking the potential of externalities. \nThe summer school will contain lectures\, workshops\, and hands-on activities. \nProgram in brief: \n\n\nMonday – Kick-off meeting  and selection the product idea (about technology transfer between academia and industry) \n\n\nTuesday – Product Strategy\, Product Vision\, and Product Definition – Building the Business Model and Generating the Hypotheses \n\n\nWednesday – Product planning\, Customer Insight\, and Product Requirements Engineering\, Testing the Hypotheses and discovering eliciting requirements \n\n\nThursday – Ecosystem\, Product Sourcing Strategies\, Asset Management and Sourcing  – realizing the idea and planning sustainable growth. The conference will delve into critical issues such as value creation from data\, the incorporation of software in data-centric products and services\, the rise of data-driven startups\, and the agility required in processes and strategies for data-centric business models and ecosystems. \nKeynote presentations:\nLuca Crnkovic-Friis:\nProduct and Productivity: A King-Scale Saga\nLuka is the Head of AI and ML at King responsible for leading and building the King AI and machine learning function ensuring the technology is integrated with King’s ambitious vision for the future of mobile games. Luka has been pivotal in King’s acceleration in AI and building an AI center of excellence with his team\, making sure to educate and up-skill the whole Kingdom in usage of AI. \nNiclas Nygren\, Volvo Cars:\nData as a Product – Accelerating Data & Analytics at Volvo Cars\nNiclas is Head of Engineering Data Hub at Volvo Cars. In this role\, he drives the implementation of the corporate data & analytics strategy in the Engineering area\, in collaboration with other Data Hub leads in all business units across Volvo Cars. Data as a product\, data governance and federated data ownership are key topics in this strategy. Niclas has extensive experience in working with vehicle data\, analytics\, connectivity and fleet management at Volvo Group and Volvo Cars. \nPekka Abrahamsson\, Tampere University:\nDigital Product Management in the Age of Generative AI\nPekka is a Professor of Software Engineering at Tampere University. His specialty is the study of ChatGPT and other broad language models in software development\, with his role being to advance knowledge in this rapidly evolving discipline.
