SUMMARY:Lunch seminar: Individual test designer performance
DESCRIPTION:Lunch seminar hosted by Theme1:\nIndividual test designer performance – an elephant in the room or an asset for improvement? \nSpeaker: Kristian Sandahl Linköping university \nIt is often heard that the quality of test code suffers compared to production code. A frequent problem is flaky tests\, where it is time consuming to determine the credibility of the test. The underlying assumption of this planned research is that probable causes can depend on the way humans design test cases and that a good part of the problems might have been discovered with static analysis of the test code. Remedies can be sought in identifying training needs\, finding good patterns for test design\, and applying automatic code repair. \nThis research involves acquiring sensitive information\, and I would like to discuss with the audience how this can be handled. I will share some past experience to get us started. \n____________________________________________________________ \nMicrosoft Teams-möte: \nKlicka här för att ansluta till mötet \nEller ring in (endast ljud) \n+46 8 505 323 41\,\,856354173#   Sweden\, Stockholm \nTelefonkonferens-ID: 856 354 173# \nHitta ett lokalt nummer | Återställ PIN-kod \n

SUMMARY:Lunch seminar: "Macrodebts" in microservices
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to another Software Center lunch seminar\, this time from theme 2:\n“Macrodebts” in microservices: understanding and managing them \nSpeakers: Antonio Martini and Saulo Soares de Toledo \nThe microservices architectural style is increasing in popularity because it helps companies deliver value to their customers fast and continuously. However\, a microservice architecture is prone to costly architectural technical debt (ATD)\, if not timely identified and avoided or removed. The most important ATDs must be prioritized. Still\, there is limited knowledge regarding the identification and prioritization of ATD in companies developing or migrating to microservices. We conducted a set of studies in 10 companies on the identification and management of ATD in microservices. We propose a prioritization strategy by presenting data from experienced companies\, and we measure the benefits and costs of reducing ATD in microservices. Other organizations may use the information shared to help identify and manage ATDs in microservices in their own contexts. \n _____________________________________________________ \nMicrosoft Teams-möte \nJobba på datorn eller mobilappen \nKlicka här för att ansluta till mötet \nEller ring in (endast ljud) \n+46 8 505 218 36\,\,342816243#   Sweden\, Stockholm \nTelefonkonferens-ID: 342 816 243# \nHitta ett lokalt nummer | Återställ PIN-kod \nLäs mer | Mötesalternativ

SUMMARY:Metrics lunch seminar
DESCRIPTION:Deep neural networks trained on source code have been shown to automate routine development tasks such as code completion\, comments generation\, etc. But is such an AI expert in coding also an expert in software design? With design often being considered as a specialist skill\, what do we do to ensure that the model understands nuances of SW design? Ensuring this opens up possibilities of automating design-related tasks. This talk will introduce our first experiments in taking a deep learning approach to SW design. \nSpeaker: Dhasarathy Parthasarathy\, Principal Research Engineer\, Volvo Group \nLooking forward to see you all next Monday! \n___________________________________________________________ \nMicrosoft Teams meeting \nJoin on your computer or mobile app \nClick here to join the meeting \nLearn More | Meeting options \n___________________________________________________________

SUMMARY:Lunch seminar: Move the world easy & sustainable
DESCRIPTION:Most welcome to the next Software Center Brown Bag seminar hosted by theme 4 (‘Customer Data and Ecosystem Driven Development’)\, September 27th at 12:00 – 12:30. \nAt the seminar\, we will get to learn about our most recent Software Center member company\, Toyota Material Handling\, and the ways in which digitalization is experienced in this domain. \nAs our speaker\, we have the privilege to present Roger Westman\, Manager of Program and Systems Management\, Toyota Material Handling. \nAbstract\nAlmost everything you own has been moved placed on a pallet. Moving goods such as milk packages\, clothes\, medication\, candy and more is a part of a vital bloodstream in our society. How does it work when goods are moved around in warehouses and production facilities and what does digitalization mean to us who work in this business? Introducing Toyota Material Handling Logistics Solution and what the digitalization journey\, including self-driving vehicles and robots\,  means for us. \nMost welcome to the seminar and please share this invite with your colleagues! \nAlso\, please note that everyone interested in getting the invites for the Brown Bag seminars can sign up using the following link:\nhttps://lists.chalmers.se/mailman/listinfo/sc_bb \n_______________________________________________________Microsoft Teams meeting\nJoin on your computer or mobile app \nClick here to join the meeting \nOr call in (audio only) \n+46 8 505 252 11\,\,853253437#   Sweden\, Stockholm \nPhone Conference ID: 853 253 437# \nFind a local number | Reset PIN \nLearn More | Meeting options \n_______________________________________________________
