SUMMARY:Second Eiffel summit 2019
DESCRIPTION:The open source Eiffel framework enables technology agnostic enterprise scale continuous integration and delivery with maintained scalability\, flexibility and traceability. Eiffel is based on the concept of decentralized real time messaging\, both to drive the continuous integration and delivery system and to document it. \nAxis is organizing the second Eiffel Summit 2019\, inviting all software engineers to learn more about Eiffel and how it can support their continuous integration and delivery efforts\, while meeting and learning from fellow practitioners in the industry. \nCompanies outside software center will be invited

SUMMARY:Quarterly HoliDev workshop
DESCRIPTION:HoliDev – Holistic DevOps Framework\nThe idea of HoliDev is to develop a Holistic DevOps Framework that integrates three different development approaches: (1) Requirement driven development where software is built to specification\, (2) Outcome driven development where development teams receive a quantitative target to realize\, such as conversion rate for part of an e-commerce website or throughput for a telecom system\, and are asked to experiment with different solutions to improve the metric and (3) Data driven development where the company has a large data set available and use artificial intelligence techniques such as machine learning and deep learning to create components that use input data to act based on earlier learnings. \nDuring the quarterly HoliDev workshop we present results from and plans for the project. \n\nMore about the HoliDev project on Software Centers intranet\nMore about the HoliDev project on Chalmers web site\n\n

SUMMARY:Automated Testing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The second time this year we will arrange a workshop about Automated Testing. This time the central focus is what you can do with your regression testing to: \n\nreduce time and resources required by selecting the most diverse test cases only\, but at the same time assure good coverage\nselect/make test cases with combinatorial coverage\nautomatically detect potentially flaky tests\n\nWe have had lot of good results from Axis and some from Volvo Cars. The flaky detector has been tried on the Hadoop open-source software. The idea is that we try to gather data from other companies for a common workshop to compare results. \nThe procedure is that you contact kristian.sandahl@liu.se and send a few examples of your test-cases. Then we take a video-meeting to discuss how you can use our techniques to obtain data for the workshop. \nOf course\, curious Software Center members are welcome to listen in without any data. \nThe current timetable will be found here: \nhttps://docs.google.com/document/d/1UtWJO9hhEoiRBe9kcY8yGamwTi9MXhoZdy5mIGFLiCQ/edit \nRegistration form found here: \nhttps://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=7Bg_kSZ_X0yoFnhP6aWO3V3QlpQDZgpPlD9sCyECwZZUNEk2UVJKNVkyTFVNS0xOMVlBRzRaNTUyTy4u \nOnly for Software Center member organizations

SUMMARY:Cross company workshop on Data Management for AI/ML/DL
DESCRIPTION:Most of the Software Center companies are collecting data from their devices in the field with the intent of using this data for analytics as well as for machine learning. In our research and discussions we see a common problem around collection\, analysis and storage of data in distributed embedded systems. \nAs we believe that this challenge is of relevance for all Software Center companies\, we are organizing a cross-company workshop for Software Center member companies at Saab in Gothenburg on October 11\, 10:00-13:00.  \nScope \nThe goal of the workshop is to emphasize the main and common challenges in: \n\nbuilding data storage architectures (storing\, indexing\, extracting) that provides rapid access to unstructured and heterogeneous data in distributed environments.\neffectively preparing data (Collection\, Understanding\, Cleaning and Labeling) for AI and ML models for embedded technologies.\n\nIn the workshop we will present two case companies that are preparing the field for AI and ML applications in their industry by investigating novel ways of data management and data storage to set up a stable infrastructure. Each participating company will be invited and welcomed to share their experience and learnings on the data storage/access for automated analysis and ML training. \nWe aim at defining a collaborative strategy and a research plan that will result in determining the main principles and best practices for building suitable storage solutions and data preparation pipelines.
