SUMMARY:Cross-company workshop (Malmö/Lund): Time to let go of agile – what is next?
DESCRIPTION:The workshop is part of our combined research activities in Software Center projects 5 and 9 and can be seen as a merge between digital transformation and the many new opportunities that new technologies bring (such as new ways-of-working both internally and within your ecosystem) and the ways in which teams and organizations develop\, measure and continuously improve customer value (by an increasing use of data from products and customers). \nIn a recent blog\, Jan describes how he notices more and more resistance against agile methods and based on this\, he predicts that this resistance will reach a tipping point. With the agile manifesto published in 2001 and hence more than 20 years old\, it is time for us to move on to the next paradigm. What this new paradigm could (or should) look like is something that we hope to discuss with you in this upcoming workshop. You find the blog post in which the topic was presented here: \nhttps://janbosch.com/blog/index.php/2024/01/02/2024-10-predictions/ \nThe workshop will be of an exploratory nature where we together discuss (1) the current challenges and shortcomings of agile practices\, (2) what would be the key principles of agile principles worth keeping\, and (3) what the elements of a new paradigm could/should look like. \nPlease note that this workshop will be run in two locations: \n\nThe first workshop will be organized in Gothenburg on February 28th\, between 09:00 – 12:00 (on-site at Lindholmen in Gothenburg). The invite for this workshop was sent earlier today and we hope you all got it.\nThe second workshop\, on the same topic and the one for which we invite you here\, will be organized in the Malmö/Lund region on March 19th\, 13:00 – 16:00 (again an on-site event and the location will be announced soon).\n\nWe hope that this format offers the opportunity for as many of you as possible to join us! \nMost welcome! \n
