SUMMARY:Cross-company workshop on EU regulations
DESCRIPTION:In recent discussions with representatives from the SC companies\, many people have brought up the fact that EU has pushed several regulations/laws that will\, and are already\, affecting the SC companies. As a few examples\, there is the Cybersecurity Act\, GDPR\, the Data Act\, the AI Act and the Product Liability Act. \nSeveral SC companies have expressed concerns with how to respond to these regulations/laws and how to strategically prepare and organize for complying with these. \nDuring this sprint\, we plan to organize a cross-company workshop to discuss the implications of these EU regulations/laws. The focus of the workshop discussions will be the following: \n\nHow to respond to the EU regulations?\nHow will these regulations affect the ecosystem (and the companies’ position in their ecosystems)?\nWhat are the strategies going forward?\n\nAs we see it\, these regulations might require involving new partners\, they might chance the existing value chain and they might upset the current power balance in the ecosystem. In the workshop\, we explore these challenges and we discuss best practices to help the SC companies to optimally position (and/or re-position) in the new business landscape. \nThe workshop will be organized as an on-site workshop at Lindholmen in Gothenburg on October 17th (10:30 – 15:00). We will offer the possibility to join online but encourage on-site participation if at all possible. \nContact Helena Holmström Olsson for more info.
