SUMMARY:Ontology-based representation for assurance and compliance
DESCRIPTION:In highly regulated industries\, assurance and compliance management represent challenging activities. This is due to the need of navigating rapidly shifting requirements. Products may evolve rapidly creating a product line in time in addition to the one in space. Products and product variability are constrained by legislation\, standards\, etc. whose applicability may vary depending on the jurisdiction. \nIn this webinar\, Barbara Gallina will briefly recall pieces of background information on the Semantic Web Technologies (RDF Graph\, SHACL\, SPARQL). Then\, based on those technologies\, she will propose an ontology-based representation for managing product variability in compliance with applicable legislations while assuring trust-related properties of interest. Specifically\, she will provide the representation in Resource Description Framework (RDF)\, shaped via SHACL (Shapes Constraint Language) constraints\, and queried via a set of SPARQL queries. \nBy the end of the seminar\, the attendee is expected to gain a sufficient understanding for appreciating the potential of the proposed ontology-based representation. \n  \nPractical information about the webinar: \n\nTime and date: 10:00 – 11:00\, 2024-11-12\nThe webinar welcomes active participation.\nThe link to the webinar will be included in the confirmation email sent after registration.\n\nThe webinar builds on top of at least three papers and expands further:\n\nB. SUMMARY:Workshop on data practices
DESCRIPTION:Most welcome to a cross-company workshop on the topic of data collection\, storage and processing! \nLocation:\nThe workshop will be on-site in Gothenburg\, November 15th (10:30 – 15:00) and with the possibility to join online.  If at all possible\, we encourage on-site participation. \nBackground:\nDuring the previous sprint\, we worked together with four of the Software Center companies on how to reason about what data to collect\, where to store this data\, how to process and make use of it\, and how to manage quality and access of data. Our aim was to provide a holistic understanding of the multiple dimensions that need to be considered when reasoning about business value versus cost of collecting\, storing and processing large volumes of data. The main contribution in the paper is a data framework. \nThe aim with this workshop is to further explore best practices for data collection\, storage and processing. We seek to provide companies with tangible guidance for how to reason about value versus cost of data\, as well as strategies for how to avoid negative effects such as e.g.\, high costs\, data dependency\, and misinterpretation of data\, that we see happen when data is collected and used in ways it was not intended for. \nRegistration\nRegister by sending an e-mail to helena.holmstrom.olsson@mau.se \n

SUMMARY:Cross-Company Workshop on Trustworthy Test Automation
DESCRIPTION:The TAHCTA Cross-Company Workshop on Trustworthy Test Automation will focus on exploring key challenges\, such as test automation’s limitations and strategies for effectively deciding when and how to automate testing across companies. Topics will include the complexity of testing complex systems and the impact of cognitive and human factors on automation. We will also address biases and cultural differences in software testing\, the integration of mutation testing into CI/CD pipelines\, and the limitations of AI in test automation. The workshop will include results from the current sprint and will foster discussions on developing more human-centered and interactive test tools. \nEvent Address: ONLINE (through Teams) and in Västerås\, Ypsilon (U2-020)\, Universitetsplan 1. \nPreliminary agenda \nSign up here
