Software Center granted 48 MSEK for Continuous Compliance project

The Software Center partnership has been awarded SEK 48 million from Vinnova through the program Advanced digitalization. The aim is to develop AI-based approaches that will make software and AI systems safer, more reliable, and easier to adapt to new regulatory requirements.

Managing regulations, standards, and other requirements in software and AI systems is becoming increasingly complex. Today, much of this work is carried out manually, making the process both time-consuming and costly.

The new project, Continuous Compliance, will develop methods for managing regulatory requirements automatically and continuously throughout the entire system lifecycle. By combining AI with modern digital infrastructure, it becomes possible to continuously monitor regulatory requirements, generate supporting documentation during development, and verify system behaviour during operation.

“Companies can spend up to ten percent of their revenue on compliance activities, and the pressure is increasing with new regulations such as the AI Act and the Data Act. With the emergence of generative and agentic AI, we now have powerful tools to reduce this administrative burden and strengthen competitiveness,” says Jan Bosch, Director of Software Center.
